To ..... Using the Real Camera Again -

the side of my kitchen sink - tulips, a throwback of chady & truth -

Friday at 9pm & my girls are thinking the night is young & we should be doing something.
We're all in flannel, or zippy's, or leggings & a swimsuit .... basically whatever is comfy :)
They've already eaten fudge bars, read books to each other & are vying for a movie.

Something girly, they say.
'Cause the boys are gone, they say.

Pretty much, I'm a sucker.

What'd you do for spring break?
Road trip?
Vacation?
The beach?

It rained here.
The boys took apart the old dishwasher.
I went to traffic court.

And then the stomach flu it .....
So that was our spring break.

exhibit 1, under pictures found on the camera ..... captured the ketchup bottle being thrown mid-air. Right .... I have no idea either. Why is there ketchup at school. Why is she chucking it at ??? Why.

exhibit 2, under pictures found on the camera ..... captured the little brother smiling cheese for his sister.

I stopped them for an instagram ..... but everything about them called for a real photograph.
I could just stare at them.
Their personalities.
Their purses & wind blown hair.
Their smiles.

They tramped all over the orchards that afternoon.
Like carefree little girls should.

This is where I want to pause & write all about life right now & how this is some beautiful reminder to me of what is real.

All the choices & decisions.
All the questions & wondering.
All the I don't knows & second guessing.

And there they are.
A sign.
Like a billboard on the highway.

Declaring .... He is enough
Shouting .... i am loved
Proclaiming .... He cares & works 'it' out
Testifying .... He is faithful
Reminding ... me i don't have to have it all figured out

All sorts of truth.

I straight up told Rex last week I needed signs.

Rex could not understand why Chad's little red bike was still out when he asked him to put it away & he said he had. He put it 'Molly's garage'. The one she made out of chalk, next to the house she built as well :)
Also his latest picture antics are giving himself 'bunny ears'

Basically you could call it use sidewalk chalk & bring your little brother to school day in kindergarten.
Yep, that's what we'll call it :)

just told shayne tonight, i need signs!
i get it.
and yes. as you said. as shayne reminded ..
there are! they're all around us.
they don't always come in the form of what we think
or want
but they're there.
these sweet precious children we've been entrusted with?
those faces staring back at us in these photographs.
so bright. so full of joy. of belief.
they teach us, don't they.
the real gifts are the little things.

love the chalk pictures.
the taken apart dishwasher.
all of them.
fun to pause in here for a bit {from the million pics i'm supposed to be editing}..
and be reminded of the goodness of God.
His signs are everywhere!
