  today was the first day in quite awhile that i missed my sister.  and before i go all sentimental about it - it really was for completely selfish reasons.  today would have been the kind of day i would have called her up and begged her to come over. i would have convinced her too. she would have come - in workout pants, slippers & probably greasy hair : ) she would have brought her phone, vitamin box, some cd's and lots of laughs. i would have talked her into helping me with something totally absurd - like cleaning under the oven and behind the 'frig, weeding flowerbeds & rearranging the living room, all before noon. we would have started one of the projects and at 3:57pm had side-aches from laughing so hard at our misery & the mess we had got ourselves into - with no way out but to finish. he would have called on the way home and we would have told him what we wanted at starbucks. we would have been worthless when he showed up and he would have rescued the world. or at least a good part of ours.  she would have been good company. and yes, incredibly useful too : )

so here's to you, charlotte -  missed you today. doesn't help that i'm listening to b. girl sing enough - where are the wheat thins?

these next shots were from last night. driving west at 6:55pm was pretty blinding, so he put on his sunglasses. next thing we saw was this in the rear view mirror : )

had a conversation today i did not expect to have. very much surprised me. and i now know all the more - one, God is a big God. He sees a wAy bigger picture than we do. two, there are hurting people - ones you would have no idea, in reality are very much like you (me!) and third - image is not everything.
