if luxury were an option i would shop at grocery stores with hardwood floors, where they display fresh round loaves of rare cheese & where they always bag and carry your groceries to your car.  i have never been a fan of the huge discount grocery stores. they are generally not in the greatest parts of town, they seem dirty and frankly creap me out just alittle. we, for the most part have shopped at middle of the road type stores. they don't sell round loaves of cheese but they do bag your groceries.

but in my quest to be a thrifty, frugle, prov 31 wife : ) i'm slowly changing.  yesterday i went alone for the first time. i had my list and in spite of the worker who told me spices were on aisle 8 (that - i discovered was the cake mix aisle) i found everything and at the checkout was amazed at the total.  i bagged groceries across from a nice well-to-do respectable lady i knew & decided it really wasn't all that bad. of course i haven't figured out what i'll do when i bring the kids. they will fill up the cart themselves. bag-your-own grocery places don't have the big carts where they can ride up front. the kind you can easily take ankles off with. the kind where others glare at you due to the amount of aisle space you are taking up. they either never had or don't remember the days when they pushed carts like that.  i guess that a bonus - no glares from other shoppers!  yesterday with my surplus of $$$ i almost went across the street and bought myself a pair of shoes : ) ha! i didn't - i went to the small health food store instead, where for nearly the same price bought half the amount of groceries!

so i am very nearly converted. it's only a matter of time and i will be bagging my own groceries full time.  which in all honesty is not horrible considering he still unloads & puts them away for me.

more shots of my little photographer. she had to 'get ready' before we went outside. needed her phone, make-up and glasses. she's enjoyed the princess skirt, apron, plastic heels, headband & sunglasses all at the same time for the past 2 days. the first one is her taking more sky pictures.
