she took it upon herself this morning to be in charge of their world. she had church with them. some highlights - overheard.

'sit on your carpet square, this is sunday school first.'

'here are your papers - yes benny, one is for you.'

'now follow me, it's time for church'

he says as he's following her - 'no chur, no chur.'

'mom, here is your paper. not to color just about valentines.'

this one got sidetracked when he saw me in the bathroom, cleaning. ahh the cupboard door was opened!!!  then he heard the piano and decided he should get back to 'church'.

'dear Heavenly Father - well we are thankful for Jesus.'

'close your eyes!!'

'Heavenly Lord - You are so good for us.'

'now we are going to sing.'

'you clap. no i will. well i will do the music and yOu clap.'

'i have decided to follow Jesus . . . '

'clAp boys!'

and they excitedly clapped and clapped while she sang and sang.

but the temptation to play as well got the best of them.

she was telling them how she was going to preach next and that they needed to be cheerful 'cause the young marrieds were coming over.'

it was about that time when they decided they were done with church : )

our favorite bachelor friend & uncle out did himself with dinner and his incredibly generous gift last night - thank you.

whereas the dinner i fixed this week for others turned out way too hot!  it really wanted to be good but the extra hot sause that was mistakening bought and added to it made it really hard to eat.  ahhh - i brought them lots of sour cream and apoligized.

he, surprisingly, wanted his picture taken.

  it also serves as a reminder that unlike the last several shots of him - he does wear clothes. more than just underwear.  small victories - today he has stayed in the same pair of  'underoos.' (as his daddy calls them) we simply cannot call them panties : ) boys don't wear panties. anyway he has enjoyed a nice share of purple gum drops today, as reward for those dry underwear. nevermind the red ones, or the greens or white its got to be purple. but yay for the purple gum drops and dry underoos! his mom anyway, needed the small victory.

tomorrow is saturday - our first 'real saturday' in awhile. totally looking forward to it. sleeping in, well, kind of : ). i think we'll fix a fun breakfast & just enjoy the day. i like him. there are some days over others where i just miss him more. tomorrow we get him - for the whole weekend.

'it's a girl.' we normally wait to say that till there is a name and birthdate to go along with it. but breaking rank we are actually telling.

we are delighted - God is generous. she does have a name and a pretty excited sister. she is moving and busy. she's tinier than we first thought. her and jack might have birthdays that are closer together!

this post has taken longer than normal. after missing calls and actually hanging up on her, we finally got together. over the phone anyway. i like her alot, even with her new ohio accent and the fact that she lives miles and miles away.  i also won the exercise award - for while all she did was sit in her car and talk, i went outside and walked and talked : )
