i miss rex.
so our friday night options were - a nice be-together-go-out-to-dinner-date . . . or the circus. why does that make me laugh? just cause right now i'm on the brink! (charlotte! where are you for a rescue.) the obvious answer of course would have been the first. but -
'i will go into the zoo. i want to see it. yes, i do. we do not want you in the zoo. out you go! out! out with you. why did they put my out this way? i should be in. i want to stay. just wait and see what i can do. look! now all his spots are blue! and now his spots are orange! say! he looks very good that way. now look at this! what do you see? spots as green and green can be! violet spots! say! you are good! do more! do more! we wish you would. i can do more. look! this is new. blue, orange, green and violet, too. oh! they would put me in the zoo, if they could see what i can do. we like all the things you do. we like your spots, we like you, too. but with all the things that you can do, the circus is the place for you! yes! this is where i want to be. the circus is the place for me!' - robert lopshire
so seriously we went to the circus last night. ben bounced and clapped at the elephants, horses & silly little dogs. jack sat in a near trance for all that was going on. and sailor - it took her abit to realize it was all going to be okay. i don't think i'd ever been. it was an event. yay for family dates. thanks for coming, grammy.
this week - i think its been a mix between a zoo and a circus. during naps now, i'm debating on whether to take my 3 ring circus back out. we didn't quite get our running done this morning. 'do more! do more! we wish you would.'
did i mention, i'm missing him!
i'm glad they like my spots. i have lots. i'm glad they like the things i do. i like them. i'm glad tomorrow is sunday - we can at least wake up next to each other. i'm glad for the circus. and i'm still looking forward to that me and him date.
