Wednesday November 21, 2007

the internet & i were not friends this morning when it suddenly shut down - right before my post was done.

i was slightly shameless when the garbage truck came down the road & i ran out in my not-so-fashionable flannel nightgown & socks with the trash can. he graciously waited. we ate chocolate & peanut butter last night and then went to bed - pretty much forgetting the whole 'take the trash out the night before so you don't have to chase the garbage truck' theory : )

i think it was the first time in 4 pregnancies that i missed baby's appointment yesterday. had alot to do with working on life - that and overpass traffic was a zoo. us girls went shopping instead and -shocking- didn't even get a starbucks.

we met up with the rest of the family for grocery shopping. we bought a turkey - yes hilarious. what in the world are we going to do with it . . . it still has its insides inside : ) our friday thanksgiving plans have been slightly altered. but thats ok - we've switched it up. leaving the grocery in those thunderous truck carts, with the bag girl walking us out, (they don't let you take them out of the stores by yourself) we suddenly found ben laying out on his back in the parking lot. hoping the bag girl doesn't think we were horrible parents . . . hoping poor benny started breathing soon . . . so sorry little guy!

jack ate his leftover pizza dinner cold for breakfast this morning. he was delighted.

we began making holiday goodness at moms this morning. glad for moms. the pies, desserts, and other dishes will be good.

looking forward to our first wake up morning in quite awhile with no place to be right away and we'll all be home. fun breakfast and maybe the macys thanksgiving day parade . . .

glad for a friend who listens and doesn't assume or expect perfection.

benny has discovered that the gator is a pretty fun ride -

she is chanting 'happy thanksgiving'. jack is blowing bubbles. ben is just excited.

waiting for jack to 'fix' the gator. he is such a 'wor-er'. then they were off again.
