 and other christmas-ness.

- - -

great delight was found in the plastic snowman straw. we baked the first night of our christmas weekend. only because it was festive - not because we needed it all sitting around to eat!

- - -

oh the treasures that were found on ebay.

i'm not sure if i've ever missed a christmas at this old house. this was the last year - time for new traditions.

- - -

making waffles - with guns, giraffe boots and princess crowns.

christmas morning -

generally her ever-thoughtful handmade & wrapped gifts need instructions & directions on what they are and say. this love offering to rex was no different. -

his john deere tractors all 'yined up'

- - -

a christmas morning family picture.

benny liked his orange. jack tried piling up every tractor. sailor holds her new dolls. rex is wearing his indian headband from jack &  holding a picture from sailor.  merry christmas!

the newest knight of the family.

and learning about cap guns -

we spent this morning reading new books. the floor was covered in toys. the lights were even on - it's been a dark enough winter day.

thanks again go to amie & rex for obliging my over-zealous ambition.  decided the tree should come down, the living room needed drastic rearranging, the cradle needed to come in. they are wonderful.

jack will tell you sadly that the old christmas tree in now on the burn pile. 'why mommy, why?' he asked when it went out. ben cried. he will also say that next year we will get a new one.

have mountains of laundry to fold.

baby is content where she is - regardless of what she has been told. her carseat, bed, clothes & mommy are ready for her.
