yesterday i wanted to get the bookwork done & be with the kids. the bookwork is still sitting here on the desk undone . . . .

the weather people said it was supposed to be 100 so we set up the pool -

tonights conversation after the kids were in bed was pretty random. all over the board. one topic to the next. with no real connection between them. he gets random. i'm glad.

amie's been around the last several days. we like her. she went on a bike ride to mom's with us. she stayed up and helped me pick up the house - even though she seriously didn't get cleaning the bathroom at one in the morning. she obliges benny when he wants mommy to do everything instead of auntie amie. she burned her mouth on over-warmed leftovers at lunch. she says i'm really good at microwaving - lol - my one lone kitchen skill! she came along shopping with us tonight. she's a good sport.
rex said he'd stay up with me tonight. translated he'll sleep on the couch till i go to bed - its really a sweet thing of him to do. he's been getting up extra early this week - there have been longer days at work.
and long days can just wear a body out -
so we'll call it a day.
