'where are the monuments we should be leaving
so our children can find the way to get home -
we should be laying stones so they can follow
the pathway that leads to God's throne.'
'let this be a sign among you, so that when your children ask later, saying 'what do these stones mean to you?' - then you shall tell to them . . . . ' - joshua 4
what signs? what reminders? what monuments? are we leaving.

molly had her first toostie pop yesterday. it kept her completely entertained while i cleaned until she was done and the vacuum started smoking : )

talking to amie, trying to fix the vacuum, not wanting her touching everything with those hands -
i wasn't fast enough to pick back up the camera & get one of her standing!

its nap time now. the washer is going. the now normal sound of the tractor across the road can be heard. cleaned up grilled cheese from lunch and those gross candy corn pumpkins that aren't candy corn - they were free at the store rex said, so he brought a bag home for the kids.
rex and ben went out to swap transmissions for chad's truck earlier. its been an auto mechanic weekend. i'm so glad he knows how to do those type of things (seriously he can nearly do anything - oh except plumbing!) but i'm so glad thats not his main profession - the grease, the grim, the oil, the fluids - i'm just not good with. even molly had grease spots on her head from helping out!
i fed molly lunch, gave her a hot bath & put her to bed - all by herself. it somehow always feels like she's an only child when i do things like that. not lunch for 4. not a tub full of kids. just her : )
ah - i just looked out the window and saw rex. he's talking wire talk with the new farmer across the the road. his jeans are tucked into his boots - he's cute : )
we have our thanksgiving banquet tonight. fun fall church tradition.
