he has this really great ability of taking my not-so-great-days & turning them around. he brought all of this when he came home early. we had dinner by candlelight - jack liked it, sailor thought it was too dark : ) they had every tractor & barn they owned in the living room last night building farm scenes. we worked on some christmas presents. and then after they all went to bed we had a date. free movie monday at redbox so we watched horton hears a who. last week at the library we got the book. i loved it - ' . . . because after all - a person's a person no matter how small!' so we got the movie to watch - don't think the kids will see it yet. but it was perfect for roasting marshmallows by candlelight : )

this morning i got up when rex sent a good morning text message. its always better when i have an hour or so before the kids wake up . . . they slept in today. i love little sleepy eyed footy pajama kids that come down the hall with blankies and their eyes blinking : ) just want to kiss them up! the tv is still out so they are watching a little library movie. they're sitting there giggling at the little dog in the snow that talks with an english accent. molly is still sleeping. my laundry has stopped. breakfast needs to be made. the last of our christmas cards need to get in the mail. the bathroom needs to be cleaned.
