he's 5 today.
he's got freckles.
he sleeps on the top bunk.
he's happy.
he's carefree.
he works hard.
he doesn't mind getting dirty.
he never complains about the heat or the cold.
he's rough.
he wrestles hard.
he wishes he would melt away when he gets embarrassed.
he's got a tender heart.
he loves tools & tractors.
he takes care of his little sisters.
he tells me he's the man of the house when his daddy is not around.
he likes to dip his donuts in a cup of milk.
he doesn't think unloading the dishwasher is the best way to spend his time.
he carefully looks at each page of books & magazines.
he squeezes between his mom & dads legs when their hugging.
he loves you to be with him.
he's alot like his dad.
he wears boots 4 sizes to big.
he'll remind you that david cut goliaths head off if you leave that part out.
he's not graceful.
he still says most of his words without l's,r's or y's.
he's all boy.
he is so special.
he's loved, more than he'll ever know - especially by God.

sometimes school for the day is a pe class outside in between rain storms.
us girls were there too -
the 'lakes' are growing wider & deeper -

monday we went to the lego store - for his big 5 year old birthday treat.
the boys chanted at lunch eating pizza that it was a J party -
regan came along too - she didn't realize she was even at such a cool place ... the lego store was not the only place to shop - j crew, pottery barn, janie&jack ... ah : )

and in the spirit of the day his little dinner party was about lego's too.

he picked his own cake out at costco tonight on the way to awana. he liked the rainbow because God always keeps His promises.
