i had all sorts of posts in my head this afternoon.
they were good ones, too : )
and then rex totally messed up the shirt i was wearing.
which meant i had to put on this super ugly, but warm sweatshirt that hid nicely that once a month fat feeling .... you get once a month.
and then i couldn't think anymore.
so i read stories to sailor & benny.
and we made pumpkin bread & waffles & set mouse traps.
it rained beautifully this afternoon. the twinkle lights were on in our room. the kids were sleeping. you could see & hear & smell it.
i was going to post about how sometimes just getting out of the house 'cause you've been home for 3 and a half days just to take the kids out to walk the downtown streets ... can at times be slightly overrated.
like you're walking with a balloon in front of your face - literally - or 4 since the city counsel man running for re-election saw you had that many kids : )
yep, so that was us : ) too many balloons, with face painted cheeks that smeared too quickly & cotton candy stuck to chins & jr. sheriff badges on our shirts, leaving a trail of popcorn behind us ... smiling at the 'you've got your hands full' looks, all the while hoping we weren't going to crash into some little dog that the couple with no kids took to walk the downtown streets.
