he questioned my commitment to blogging when i mentioned i wished i had a laptop and could just sit all comfy on the couch and post tonight & not sit in my old wooden chair at my still messy desk ....
well here i am : )
we did a great job remembering how nice it is to wake up together on a saturday morning. the last however many saturday's he's worked but today ... today he was here.
molly slept till 7:07 this morning instead of 7:01 like yesterday - am i crazy for already thinking that daylight savings time is ending soon & that 7:0whatever will then be siX ???
i piled her up with some books on the couch and we pretended to still be sleeping - but they all catch on pretty quick that dad is around and soon our bed looked like this -
mark this as maybe the 3rd time ever we've hauled the tv into our room for a late friday night movie that turned into a saturday morning veggie tales.
it's not sexy to have a tv in your bedroom.

there's some home depot or lowes commercial about putting on your saturday clothes and doing great projects -
meet my saturday clothes ... from the knees down at least : ) the top half included hair that hasn't been washed all week & an old sweatshirt.
and meet our great project - can you say oklahoma construction crew : ) we raised pigs once upon a time ago and this is the remains of our hog farmer days ....
really - we had pigs.
we also embarked on our biggest tote thinning to date. like all those outfits that i really never wore on sailor or either other girl and are now too small for regan .... rex thought maybe we could recycle those to the goodwill maybe.
novel idea.
we ended the day with some world series baseball & a baby shower.
and now there is all sorts of things to do like pick up from a day where the entire family lived here & find church clothes for tomorrow & wash my poor hair.
even though the whole curl up into the sheet-less bed just the way i am right now sounds pretty wonderful too.
rex said last week that through the years i've converted him to the beauty of clean, fresh sheets on a saturday night after a hot shower - but he's still working on me on the whole just climb into the messed up unmade bed just the way you are option too .....
he went back out to work & said i could call him if i needed him, my phone died however, so i'll actually have to walk outside : )
