when i don't feel like posting .... i don't.
welcome back.
they had a picnic. yes, they are our old school lunchboxes - complete with our names and phone numbers still in sharpie on them & the tacky 'my name is chad' sticker. never mind that they just went out the back steps .... the sandwiches needed to be properly transported.

i have one hour till the babysitter gets here & probably less than that till rex gets home. i should be on a whirlwind clean of the house.
or i should be out photographing the art taking place on the driveway. sidewalk chalk is a beautiful thing. sailor is out drawing the solar system. we've gone from not even knowing what planets were let alone that we lived on one called earth to drawing them out in their right order from sun & labeling them with sidewalk chalk so far this school year. score one for the home team, baby!
so i'll go out before it rains and take pictures. jacky is drawing a pool : )

today is a holiday. and we didn't even realize we were going to make it one till reading facebook updates we saw a cousin post about a parade. we googled our own hometown & found us a parade.
we asked grandpa to come along since he's a veteran too -
happy veterans day 2010

so what else have we been up to ? ? ???
we caved while wandering target aisles today looking at christmas things & bought toy story macaroni - even though they have never seen a single toy story movie yet, they were excited.
we also bought christmas cards. i think its the first time ever doing so before thanksgiving - which is exactly 2 weeks from today!
rooski's new way of getting around -
this though, would still be her standard most effective way to date -
- - -
visits to the library -
hanging out waiting for sailor's piano lesson to end -
- - -
we also run with super hero capes & sticks -
speaking of runs - we ran this weekend
dad & i ran a half marathon relay for the first time. here we are with our finishers sweatshirts & medals : )
this was the day before - figuring out where we were supposed to show up.
dad ran the first leg so we don't have his running picture - he ran fast. and yes my eyes are closed.
- - -
how molly does an early morning run - with chocolate : )
- - -
a perk to being the youngest kid - i walked out to them enjoying some late night goodness after everyone else had gone to bed.
- - -
so the one night i actually had a plan for dinner .... it can wait till tomorrow : )
i'm off to get ready & maybe save a bit of my pride by saving my house before the 'sitter shows up!
