saving hobbs -

what is it about this month that is just making everything slower? not that we don't have too much going on. plus christmas. plus weddings. plus this. plus that. plus. plus. plus.
but the mornings have been dark. the twinkle lights look homey turned on. molly is remarkably sleeping past 6:50 anything. we make hot chocolate for breakfast. the legos are out more.
and ben thinks we should all go outside and hunt for rudolph.
so yesterday after lunch somehow they escaped outside before they could hear the list of things to do .... they're good that way : )
i heard things like -
'stable the ladder!' 'we need a stick!' 'hobbs! hobbs!'
and the great cat rescue had begun. they have yet to learn that actually cats are pretty good at climbing trees. that not every time to they necessarily want do be rescued by a 5 year old boy and his 4 year brother and their ever present ready to help almost 3 year old sister .... not every time.
but that didn't stop them.
regan, giving her own instructions on how save a cat -
they thought if they have a good board the cat would just walk on out -
italy was almost eaten by bucket, she said.
again not so sure the brothers are doing it right -
4 minutes later hobbs was back up the tree : )

rooski discovered the fort house. she crawled all the way to it by herself & had a look on her face like 'really, why has no one ever told me about this!'
she really needs to learn how to walk ... well not really 'cause that will just mean she's growing up : )
