sometimes in the middle of life, life happens.
in the middle of life there is the laundry from being gone all weekend & it's dinner time but there is nothing even started for dinner & the toddler and her slightly older big sister are beside themselves in tears & you forgot to make this phone call and pay that bill ....
and you wonder why he is putting on his shoes & calling ben outside instead of helping you with the latest life crisis ....
until a little 4 year old comes back in and says 'mom, come watch this ....'
and you just know that it will be worth stepping over everything else, grabbing the camera & setting the still crying toddler on the back steps to follow him out.
the training wheels came off tonight.
she got over her grief.
he is hands down the quickest kid so far to learn to ride a bike. no tears. no don't let go's or but i'll fall. no i want to put the training wheels back on & lets be all done. he can even already turn around, stand up while coasting & steer through the parked cars.
yay ben! little boys don't learn to ride a bike every night of the week - it was my second almost mom cry of the day : )

life happened right in the middle of life tonight.
