Of Trips & Family -

this will  be long. you have been warned.

leavin' on a jet plane ....

3:50am came pretty early this morning .... especially when we went to bed after midnight & chady spent a better part of the night with me.

Teeth? Maybe?


But that's not the point.

Jack asked if I would wake him up so he could say good bye to Auntie Amie & Sailor.  I rubbed his back this morning and he just rolled over and groaned. Then he rolled back & whispered 'thanks mom' as he climbed down off the top bunk : )

So here we are with the last 2 weeks of summer left before school starts & we have some great things left to do! Starting with this mornings early trip to the airport.

But before we go on too much about our last trip of the summer we are f.i.n.a.l.l.y. going to go back & post our 1st trip of summer.

Family is great. Not every single second ... obviously ;) but on a whole its good. We started summer by actually ditching out on the last official day of school so we could go pick up sister and brother and sister in law and little darling niece from the airport and then drive hours & hours still to meet the folks for 'happy 60th birthday party for mom' at the lake.

 It wasn't a surprise ... we learned years ago to not do that. But it was a whole lot of fabulous-ness.

In random order, here is family -

And back to today - Sailor's off on her first ever real trip away from home. 9 days is seeming like a long time ....

no offense to my beautiful sister .... but her camera focusing skills  (even when its set on auto!) leave you blurry & saying 'what??'
