'buy truth , and do not sell it, get wisdom and instruction and understanding' prov. 23:23   love how this verse takes my mind to pilgrims progress, when christian and faithful come to vanity faire -

' . . . one merchant, beholding the behavior of the strangers, mocked them, saying,"what will you buy?" but they looked gravely on him and answered, "we buy the truth! . . . '  john bunyan

good challange - buy the truth. it's a good verse for the 23rd of the month.

really wanting to be a pilgrim - really wanting to make progress - really wanting to buy truth

we went on a girls date - just my little twinks and me.  we decided to get dressed up for the occasion.  i let her pick the outfits : ) she wanted to wear skirts.  she picked her poodle skirt (missing the poodle) IMG_5494-1 & she wanted her hair 'hanging back like yours, mom.' we also added ribbons, jewelry and pink sparkly shoes to the mix.  she could not keep both feet on the ground and was giddy by the time we walked into the store.  she shopped and looked and shopped and looked.  she picked a red wallet with hello kitty on it and the kind lady helped her find something for the last 50 cents she had left.  stickers were the best choice.  she left the store a little higher than when we entered - already deciding that next time she might get the phone or the trash can.  sweet time ~

IMG_5500-1 i got out the vacuum this morning and he raced to get his.  he'd do one side and i'd do the other - then we'd switch.  back and forth he pushes it all over the house.  he's such a worker - and i must remind myself of that as that dear vacuum is one of the most trying battery operated toys in the house : )

and to give equal press time - IMG_5512-1  he wins the 'mom-actually-got-to-the-bottom-of-the-laundry-basket-now's-a-good-time-to-spit-up-on-everything' award of the day.  silly boy

i was up and at the gym and 5am every morning this week - seriously someting i have never done in all my life. many cheers for my man who was over the top gracious to his very un-morning person, wife! he also helped me finish weed the over grown flower beds - another horray for him.  i'm really hoping to win the yathzee tournament tonight - should be good.

& the kids are really hoping it doesn't rain on the parade tomorrow -

it's the weekend & God has been faithful.
