ah, it's been awhile - i had resorted back to the 'old days' of just reading posts. but since i am up way too late tonight with extra time, thought we should update. i do this - staying up thing, when he works at night. just not alot of pull to go to bed.
so before pancakes the cattle truck came and out they ran to their 'spot' to watch the excitement they will sit there for lengths of time watching whatever is going on with the cows.
love the blankie in this shot. it was right after naps and he heard the truck coming down the road - he just had to get outside as quick as he could, blankie came with him.
he's telling me all about it.

the pancakes were on the stove and she was entertaining little brother - 'look at us, mom, we are in our tent.'

i swept the porch the other day. beat the doormat with the broom, then started at the top and worked my way down the steps. i ended up going out into the driveway (a ridiculous thing to do - the driveway part) but sweeping the back porch always reminds me of my dad. totally random i know, but he would always sweep the porch at really funky times. so in an odd sentimental way i think of him everytime i sweep the porch.

life is full right now -
we went on a great date last friday night
our two year old son learned this week to say 'no' & 'don't' - wow, we are learning a whole new aspect of parenting!
God's word is living and active
my sister went to israel - ahh!
one of my very dearest friends is about to have their baby.
we are surrounded with gifts we don't deserve.
i found a really great piece of furniture on the side of the road the other day - he obliged my curiosity and stopped to see if it was for sale. it was free (yes!) and is now in our garage waiting for the perfect inspiration
