its easier to not do alot of things. but that is not the lifestyle we want to teach. so - we got out the swimsuits, bought arm floaties for the 1st time and headed out to the pool last night.
oceans and lakes have never been a problem. but with pools they're learning its ok for their feet not to touch. we were shocked when on her own she floated out quite aways. good ol' arm floaties : ) then terrified screams followed - her feet weren't touching the ground.

i've wondered for a better part of my life how the egyptians could 'forget joseph'.
'now a new king arose over egypt, who did not know joseph' ex 1:8
he totally saved their land from major diaster - how could in a few short generations they totally forget & end up enslaving the nation? i always went with -'its how the story goes . . .or how its supposed to go . . . ' but my thinking has changed. now i've realized the better question would be 'why would they remember?!! yesterday was 9/11 - we remembered - but that was only 6 years ago. what do we know that happened 400 years ago that we remember today?
anyway - it's not the greatest spiritual revelation. but i'm challenged to consider what i'm remembering, what i value enough to be sure i pass on. whats important enough for our kids to remember - to know?
