the tragic events of our day -
first for ben, being sprayed in the face and head with windex and clorox lemon fresh cleaner. by his brother. ah goodness! by the time i got to them it was dripping off of him and all he was doing was rubbing it into his already stinging eyes. correction and comfort were given to each one, respectfully.
then at the same time she came screaming in convinced the nice mail lady was going to run over bucket. sheer fear. we walked out and got the mail together, while the gracious mail lady assured her she would not hit the dog.
and then life recovered to a normal state again.

when i saw the bag with their clothes packed and asked him what that was for - he said the kids were leaving as soon as they woke up, the day would me mine.
wow - what was i going to do. i left the house before 11 having already enjoyed breakfast, getting ready & 2 1/2 hours of free time.
baby and i enjoyed starbucks and the shops.
they came home happy, full, slightly glad to see me and ready for naps.
acts of service is my greatest love language. april and m showed it in vasts ammounts yesterday. thank you. thank you. thank you. it's not enough, yet still thank you. it was beautiful.

since our air conditioning has come on before 9am the last 3 mornings and its been one of the warmer weeks of summer - i decided today i would finish my weeding. seriously! what was i thinking. so, so hot. they brought out their little pool, i left the hose running and they stayed wet and cool.
its labor day weekend and i have labored enough - at least in the flower beds!
so far day one of my new naptime plan is working. little benster has taken to not falling asleep till a good 2 hours into his supposed naptime. today we have officailly abandoned the morning nap. i stacked the deck in my favor and kept him outside and busy all morning, thru lunch and into the afternoon. when i laid him down he was out in less than 20 minutes. : )
tonight we are going for frozen yogurt - it makes for a nice dinner every so often.
