she was standing by me at the desk -
'i tried to hit that fly on his brown head. that was his head right - the brown part?
i wondered where she was seeing brown on the black fly?
'yeah, flies have pretty small heads.' i said
'will i have a bigger head in heaven?
'probably, you might . . .'
'a bigger head with a new body. can you wiggle your nose?'
i turn to see her take her finger & 'wiggle' her nose back and forth.
'i see' : )
'can we make birthday cards for daddy, now?'
jack got the red paper - red is for boys. she helped him draw out the whole family. her picture has daddy & myself standing by a tree. dad has his eyes closed.

we've had a happy week - he's made it home before lunch 3 out of 5 days.
jack has a look of - 'we're going to run over mom!'
and this scene was brief - after the first full bag, i took over. it was raining this morning - no bike ride - i needed some workout!

i've heard that birthday's should really honor the mother. she did all the work that day. i talked to his today - she was out shopping for grandchildren - i'm really very glad for what she did that october 12th.

today is his birthday. he's the best thing in my life. he gives, he works, he provides, he loves, he shares - and the best part is he's mine. we're taking him to dinner tonight. we're going on a date. we have little presents to give him.
happy birthday baby. ah, he just got home - soaking wet!! from a ride in the rain. time to go : )
