we needed monday! we needed to recover from our weekend. long, fun, tiring - very good.
last night driving - sailor heard me say what a circus we were & she said 'we are not going to the circus. we are going to longbridge!'
yes, i agreed, we weren't going to the circus - i told her we were the circus, a very silly circus! oh, she giggled. jack thought it was funny too. and all the way to longbridge they exclaimed what a silly circus we were : )
we ate out a remarkable 5 times this weekend. that in itself is a ciRcuS. the pizza place. the family restaurant. sunday morning donuts. chips everywhere at the mexican place. numerous spilled water cups at in-n-out! ahhh . . .
late nights, no baths, lots of miles in the car. we needed monday.
uncle chad came for breakfast this morning. jack sat in awe of how full his cheerio bowl was! they entertained him outside. ben didn't know what to think of his fresh from the hills beard. he said he was saving it to show lisa. he was going to bring back some meat - till we looked at each other and asked which one knew how to cut it up?? we decided it could stay at moms & we'd come for dinner! i wasn't ready for the bloody pillowcase of fresh raw meat in the 'frig. ode' to the mighty hunters & the 'big one' that got away. it was good to see him.

sailor and jack got the gator out, loaded their tool bags & went to 'work'. ben stuck with me. he was my little helper this morning. we washed the car and when he rediscovered his blankie on the grass - gave it a bath.
then he left - it was soaking wet & so loved.
