so we go - 'pumpkin hunting for daddy's birthday.'
no we don't just go to the local supermarket. we make it an event. we go to the coast. for tradition, for memories. this year the whole family came - 
we started at the beach.

then came the pumpkins -

it was a fAmiLy day - hence the vast ammount of up-close family shots. next year we'll probably not go the weekend of the half moon bay pumpkin festival. there were times sitting in the horrid traffic we wondered if we'd go again at all . . . . but we thought that for not too long & after a delicious day on the way home said we'll do it again.
