we started the day reading in bed. sailor - the pokey little puppy. jack had the sweet smells of christmas. i was in joel & amos! mine took longer than theirs and so she quietly got them each a tractor. the length and height (of some parts!!) of me made they thought for great roads to drive on. thats where she told me -
'your hair is dirt, mom.'
and they'd scoop it up and then drive back to my toes. back and forth they went till the 'bright sunshine came out.'

worked on taking some christmas pictures this weekend. somehow this was one of the better ones - yes minus people! since certain subjects were not in the photographing mood. so still debating whether to make them work or try something else. rex, full of holiday spirit, has suggested ducktaping almond branches to buckets head and hooking him up to the wagon. we even have a blinking rudolph nose for him. thanks, baby.

somehow my ever thoughtful friend thought the whole bowling ball with baby was a really great idea . . . for her anyway : )
