of baby ~
she's a little too big for the profile of the whole body. but we enjoyed what we could see. supposedly she's got some hair, too : ) growing, moving - in what little space she has left, and so far healthy. 4 more weeks - we'll see. rex is going with closer to jacks birthday than christmas . . . he's probably right.

its unnaturally quiet in our little house right now. almost like the line from the big red barn . . . 'but today the children are away.' at breakfast we discussed how john was a 'wor-er' like daddy but whitney was home and could play. lots of excitement & anticipation - 'will there be toys at their house?' jack was just cool knowing john was a 'wor-er' : ) must be a good guy if he's a worker like dad! so, thanks to our new friends who live 'only like 13 minutes from our house.'
God is faithful. He has been blessing us this week in incredible ways. sometimes all you can do is just say thank you, even though that is so not enough.
plopper is fast becoming a special friend.

sick little guys are getting me in the up at night mood. can't breathe, want to sleep, sad cries - all happens between midnight and 3. everytime i get back in bed i try and remember the next time i get up to remember my foot!
my goal is to get christmas cards done a week from saturday. i think thats do-able.
one member of the family is having a hard time learning and remembering what things can be played with - like toys as opposed to what can't be played with - like moms camera. it took a bad fall the other day. its just a 'thing' i worked hard at remembering. things break and thats ok. thats part of why the christmas card goal is so far out . .
here they are with their pretend camera & tripod. they'd 'set' it up and would run, stand and smile, then run back and 'look' that their picture. benny tried to keep up.
part of the extra quiet house is due to the laundry stopping . . . need to get that going again. and i'm kind of getting tired of looking at my discolored foot : )
i guess the quiet today has been good a good time to remember. apart from things like camera lenses can be replaced or not to get out of bed so fast on a swollen, sprained foot. but more about things like how faithfully God meets our needs - dinners that i'm not cooking, help with the kids, 'seeing' our baby, its christmas time -
we have a good life.

and since i have nothing better to do late at night than sit and snap shots : ) here's what i've seen the last few nights in the living room from my view in my new favorite chair - the recliner, ahh !!!
