night of school. 5 years of school. of studing. of sacrificing. of coming home late. of being gone. of learning. of tests. of commintment - he never missed a single night. of hard work. of putting up with teachers. of being with the 'guys'.
5 years of school. its all over tonight. and tonight i think we'll just celebrate him. what he's done. how well he did it. how much we really think he's wonderful.

way to go, baby -  i love you.

juana doesn't weed -

but juana moves, paints, assembles & rearranges furniture. juana folds loads & loads of laundry. juana helps get lunch. juana goes along with my harebrained plans. juana laughs. juana injured her toe when ben dropped needle nose pillars on it. juana saves ben from cutting off his thumb after he figured out how to open the razor knife. juana saves crying molly from the horrible bouncer. juana stayed way too late.

juana is wonderful. we wonder what we'd do without juana???

(we passed this darling car on our way home)

today's been a busy day. even at this crazy hour of the night the dryer is still running and the clothes in the wash are waiting. i had bookwork to get done - even after amie left.  the girlies have kept me coming back and forth from the desk.  sailor with dreams.  molly with a plugged up nose - that and she just seems to be talking to herself & her blankie. at this moment i'm glad she has not moved in with sailor . . . her story to her blankie is a loud one.

happy - just loud. i'm amazed how rex sleeps through it. molly has taken to rolling. she can make it across a room now - though i'm not sure she realizes or intends to do it. its pretty frustrating to get stuck in a corner and not know how to get out! she's been glad for 2 days now where she hasn't seen her carseat. 3 time zones, temperatures from the low 40's to high 90's, sleeping in a different bed night after night all have left her with a bit of a cold.
but wow - she's almost 5 months already!

'sneaking' up over the hill to find mom!

we had a nice weekend. just today i started unloading the car - i really needed to - friday we are heading out again.  may seems to be our 'go places' month!

i' m not sure how i managed to noT bring swimsuits on a trip to the coast . . .

the little guys heading out -

if all cars rides were like the first part of our way home . . . well they'd all be very pleasant.  3 sleeping, 1 chatting happily nonstop -

'it would be awful naughty to ride your bike in this fog.'  - learned what fog was this weekend
'are we in california yet?' - have been going over the differences between countries, states, towns . . .
'well we are a long ways from home.' - california is a big state
'well ben is asleep but he really would like 'going to the mansion''. - very good thing ben was asleep!

'i can't quite make that music with my mouth . . . '
'well there sure are a lot of motorcycles. this must be a motorcycle town.'
'lets look for mini coopers, motorhomes & motorcycles'
 - rex says theres a mustang behind us
'daddy, you goose, thats grandpa!'

jack woke up talking -
'jack have idea daddy, N out for lunch daddy'
'jack keep eyes opened for n out!'
'i was thinking if you were a kid and had a little purse you could put a pack of gum in it and take it wherever you went.' - great idea!!

and the car ride ended with me - who at reached my mile quota for the month about 12 1/2 miles earlier - laughing.  to which rex said -
'you are so not helping me. i am trying to keep everyone together for the last 30 minutes.'
i'm not together i told him.
'you don't count you have to pull yourself together.'
all the while sailor is singing there were 12 disciples & old macdonald & the rest are crying.

ahh - happy car riding!!
