i told sailor today was the last day of the month when we wrote the date on one of her school papers.
october is over.
ben is out running errands with rex - he was beside himself excited to go in daddy's truck. sailor and jack are out riding bikes. even molly dolly is bundled up and playing outside. i'm in the middle of laundry and kitchen clean up. trying to finish my mile long before rex gets home list of things i wanted to get done while he was out.

i got pulled over this week. he could have cited me for 2 citations - blocking traffic at a busy 5 o'clock intersection & an illegal lane change. thankfully he didn't. cops and their ability to make your heart pound without them even saying a word always remind me of the calm, in charge authority i should have in parenting.

some happy news - amie is coming home for thanksgiving.
more happy news - april's baby is a little girly.
i filled up the suburban for less than $100 this week. gas at $2.65. thats reason to be happy : )

my little kitchen workers - we've had alot of chicken this week. we are ready for rainy weather sorts of food - calm chower . . . chili . . . and like they are helping me make - mashed potatoes.
we went on a really great date last week. 9 glorious hours together. (thanks to the generosity of the boones!) and tonight he's got a festive party planned : ) so off to make sure i'm ready!
