its been a boys world around here this week.
we have a library book that talks about big machines. excavators, dump trucks, backhoes, tractors etc. and the last line of the book says 'so, next time your in the country watch out for mighty machines hard at work!'
the land across the road is under a new lease - its finally getting cleaned up as they are wanting to plant another orchard - no more dead wheat fields, or trashy backgrounds for pictures - this week the backhoes & excavators have been hard at work. the dump trucks have been a constant stream up and down the road hauling away countless load of broken concrete and tons and tons of dirt. major earth moving going on.
all jack has had to do to see mighty machines hard at work is walk outside -

its finally feeling not like summer! it has rained this afternoon. and the rumbling outside was not just dump trucks on the road. loud thunder - lots of lighting. the sky is dark. i lit a candle & listened to the rain.
