- tickles from daddy -
my options -
1. wash the pots & pans that wouldn't fit in the dishwasher
2. sit with my feet up & rex's ipod
3. spend the half hour it would take to finish picking up the house
4. remember and type out the goodness & faithfulness of God
and since i'm sitting here at the computer i'll go with #4
i think when the whole reality of unemployment hit we had the stress and worry of how in the world were we going to make it but there was also a confidence that God would provide. joblessness is not a major stress to Him. somehow some way He would provide the money for us to take care of the things that needed to be taken care of. nope - instead He has used people and provided in ways that have really blown our ideas out of the water. the how has honestly been pretty humbling and we have sat back and just said really? really! really??!!!
really.
gas in our cars
food in the 'frig
special family times provided
our rent check was returned - and not because it bounced : )
even an anniversary trip coming up
side jobs
really.
we have gone from how are we ever going to make it to this turning out to be one really great summer.
there are always things to complain & gripe about and since we tend to forget when its all over all the little ways God provides this is for us to remember.
we've also learned thrifty ways of living. molly wears cloth diapers now. i'm using a clothes line for the 1st time ever to dry laundry. i stay out of town! : ) we don't *need* frozen yogurt for dinner - we can eat garden food instead. birthday presents can come from second hand stores and still be pretty special.
we drove up to family camp (another really. in our life) last week just swimming in the goodness of God to us.

some pictures -
our 'cabinet' - as benny called it : )
swinging outside the lodge -
notice the pavement? very unlike our 'normal' camp trips!
dad's hat & dead glow sticks from last nights campfire - she's good.
jack's picture - we especially like his blurred out foot : )
and then he got the idea to be in the picture too. 'how you push the button mommy?' he barely made it - sailor and ben weren't quite high enough.
the rock that was too heavy for dolly dootle -
a homemade fishing pole. we couldn't figure out if he was seriously pretending or if he was seriously thinking he'd catch a fish?
benners -
practicing for the 1st annual church camp talent show -
buddies -
camp's probably not the time to start with overdone hair - but we're trying : )
the live performance -
sailor's bouncing ball 'talent' -
can't go to family camp & not have a family picture. ah such happy campers : )

we came back early so we could say good bye to amie.
and for alot of different reasons this is what i thought of her leaving again. tears are a good thing <sniff> sheesh i could almost cry again just looking at it.

speaking of the little things - there are even frozen chocolate chips in the freezer. again, really?
really.

itunes is playing a song by third day that says -
'Sing praises to our God, sing praises
Sing praises to our King, sing praises
Let all the nations sing
Let all the nations sing of His love
Oh, sing praises
So shout for joy all of His children
So shout for joy all of His children
Let all the people sing
Let all the people sing of His love
Oh, sing praises
For You are God and You are worthy
Of all our lives and all our praise
And so we sing to the Most Holy
The Lord, our God
The Lord, our King
Sing praises to our God, sing praises
Sing praises to our King, sing praises
For He alone is God
For He alone is worthy of praise
Oh, sing praises'
fitting i think to close this post on.
random & unrelated : ) he was a fish, he said.
