you know a lot of times posts reflect the mood i'm in ...
sometimes i choose not to post because the reflection is not worth reflecting.
tonight's mood is pretty random.
rex was not sleeping - i could tell because i didn't hear any snoring coming from the room and i heard him cracking his knuckles ... so i marched in & told him he had to fall asleep.
i hear snores now.
we went on a date tonight.
we sat outside under one of those propane heater things down at the harvest moon & ate sweet potato fries. i did, anyway.
we had babysitting for another hour so being the romantics that we are - we hit the local thrift shop and went hunting for great deals.
the problem with those places is you get such great deals (we scored on sailor things tonight) for $1.49 and $1.99 and even $2.99 that when you find something that says $4.99 i'm like what! that's expensive for that super darling gap dress.

never mind that if i'd of actually seen it at gap on sale for twice that price i'd of snatched it up as a great sale.
he also thinks i'm a name brand snob at thrift shops ...
guilty.
and i got pearls - big chunky pearls.
rex loves thrift stores. i love jeans for $2.99. we love dates.
regan was a good little tag along tonight. she had her first real ride in a cart - i've been telling her its a whole new world once she learns to sit up by herself ...
she totally crashed over 2.3 seconds after this picture but she's almost got it.

i ordered a mothers day something for myself today & told rex he didn't have to do anything else. he said 'oh well i was going to do ___________' and i said 'oh well you can do that too' : )
somehow i think that since i was in bed by 10:30 last night that that was my one decent night sleep of the week and now i can go back to the after midnight times.

yes it was monday. yes we came in to make the beds. yes school was supposed to start. yes they decked themselves out with every plastic necklace they had. yes i love girls - my girls extra especially.
her new smile is getting me every time!

this sleeping lump of goodness is another something that makes me go ahhhhhhh. even now as i'm posting it i keep scrolling up just to look at her again. she was apparently apart of her big sister's world 'cause i notice she has her hand and leg stamped with a green hello kitty stamp. i'm thinking the hand was from sailor and molly followed up with the thigh ... just guessing : )

jacky took these next 4 pictures. regan went outside to watch everybody play - he kept coming into the laundry room to show me each one. he said sailor was talking to regan to make her happy.

all work and no play ...
is just not quite as fun - rex mixed in some play in between working outside last night.
it took quite a bit of concentration on their parts to look my direction every time they went sailing past me : )

that's been the start of our week - give & take dozens of other things added in!
normal people are in bed at this time of the morning ...
