It seems slightly ironic  .... or fitting that we follow up our last post about how we {heart} school & all our high points on the fun we're planning with ...

We're not interested in math or spelling tomorrow - no sir, we're back to basics! The basics that come before reading & writing.

Be Like Jesus.

I inked it on the board this afternoon with passion .... and frustration.
It needed to be marked across their foreheads too.

But that's how conviction starts, doesn't it. Where you're all panties in a wad over something & then it hits how they'd probably be doing a better job of what you were asking if you were doing a better job at it yourself.  

I was even awful enough to recant their after school Oreo snack today.
Because things didn't. go. that. well.

There is beauty if you're willing to look.

Past the frustration.
Past the messed up everything.
Past your over reacting attitude.

There is good.
There is grace.
There is God.

I turned from the board and looked out through the screen door to see this ....

 
Beauty.

It really is everywhere because He is everywhere.

And as is the case more & more lately in the end it wasn't some lesson I needed to pound into them - it was another opportunity for me to see Him.
