To .... Notes to Self & the Post in My Head at Lunch -

I sat waiting at the red light while a tallow truck passed in front of me - I'm not sure why you need to know that, other than I found the poor cows leg sticking out of the top funny. your life could always be worse

I was going to sit down during lunch & post. But there was laundry on the table & math flash cards to flip while the kids at noodles. Did you read I didn't eat lunch, cause that's what laundry on the table & flipping flash cards meant :)

So there are these hashtags that say #notetoself & #preachinggospeltomyself .... or something similar.

That's what I was going to do at lunch - give myself a short sermon.
We left school & I wrote

keep showing up

in my book.

It's the gospel I'm preaching to myself right now.

It's me coming with a few loaves & less fish and asking Him to multiply. Not add, or skip count .... multiply.

It's me not having it all together.

It's days not going well.

It's frustration.

It's sticky relationships.

It's asking that He take all that nothing & multiply it into something.

just.
keep.
showing.
up.

And then lunch was over.
And the noodles were gone.
And Chad kept shouting what sounded like 5! to 13+11 & 4+7 & 15+9 because in his mind he's got math facts down as well as any of them :)

Beach pictures .....
I know right, the entire country except for California is experiencing winter for reals with snow & cold & fireplaces & scarves and we're at the beach working on an early tan.

He turned 9 on Monday. He picked cupcakes & a soda from In 'n Out. He dug holes & threw the football all afternoon. We sang to him at least nine times.

and straight from the great state of texas ... the lovely lis herself
we're questioning this kids dna .... she didn't like sand. what?!!

They came too .... I mean not all the way from Texas just to come to the beach, but since they were here .... it seemed a bit criminal to not have them there. Even if the only sand my brother ever had on him was on the bottom of his feet ....

hashtag ;) seriouslyhowdoeshedothat ??!!

Keep preaching.
To myself.

This just proves that I really really need to live closer to a beach.
