To .... Simple & Extravagant -

Let's remember Christmas.
A whole month ago already.
The festive and the merry.

Christmas Eve.
Christmas Morning.

It was not extravagant .... or it was.
God loved in an extravagant way when He gave His gifts.
He still loves in extravagant ways.

It was simple .... yet not.
God's gift was simple.
Yet there's so much beauty in the details.

We love Christmas.
We love gifts.
And Jesus.
And family.
Vacations from school.
And Amie coming.

Dad read the last story of our Advent book ... he butchered the Jewish names but that was alright.

Regan is pretty serious about treats for the reindeer.
We're pretty far from the North Pole.

She got a hamster.
In a pink cage.
And named her Poppy.

She got tickets.
To her first ever real concert.
She was really excited.

She got a bike.
Of her very own, with streamers on the handle bars.
Because there's something epic about riding a new bike in the driveway on Christmas Morning.

Christmas Dinner with the cousins.

It was a merry Christmas.
We're grateful for gifts.
The simple ones, the extravagant ones, the merry ones.
