We actually still have Christmas lights up around our house. We used big clear bulbs this year ... or last year.
So now we call them Twinkle lights.
The flag is out, cause it's Flag Day.
It's actually been flying since Memorial Day.
All that to say the lights are on tonight & it makes our little house at the end of the road look like a place I'll remember forever.
The girls are sleeping on the trampoline tonight.
Happy summer to them.
I'm wearing the shirt Rex wore to church this morning.
I like the smell of it .... of him.
Ben cleaned the kitchen like a boss tonight.
He danced around to music he'll remember as the music of his childhood.
They call it 'dad's music' ..... matt kearny, needtobreathe, mumford&sons, the lumineers .....
He's got mad dance & dishwasher loading skills.
Anyway - life is sweet.
Sweet enough to write it down & remember it.

The genius creativity of this kid blows my mind sometimes.
It's one of the ways her & I are vastly different.
And when it's paired with her brother's unique flare ....
It's an act that can't be rivaled.
We call it Bob & Bethesda -
