Of Life that Hurts & Essential Oils -

all of us

- - -

Soup is our new favorite food. We're eating hot soup out of Christmas mugs together ... him & I.

The kids are in bed. Not sleeping :) but in bed. The whole twinkle lights stapled to their bunk beds makes falling right asleep a bit tough.

Christmas cheer!

Second Sunday of Advent. We're at a cliff hanging part (literally) in the story we are reading each day.

Tonight we cancelled plans & just stayed home. The girls watched Little Women for the first time. Amie kept texting quotes from Ohio .... she was pretty much right on track the whole time.

We turned up the heater. We made desserts. We changed into flannel pjs. Because it's Christmas.

We called poison control ... because drank mosquito repellant.

Chad. Chad drank mosquito repellant. An organic based repellant from the farmers market.
He reeks, absolutely reeks of eucalyptus, peppermint & rosemary.

He's fine.
And our house smells less like pumpkin pie & more like a blended herb tonic : )

News hit this week of one of my dearest friends having cancer. Not someone else, but her. And we've cried a bit & hurt a bit & still He is good. It's been a long week.

So our weekend wraps up after a date, taking the kids to the parade & buying a new car. That and the dryer broke & there is comet all over the bathroom from the little girls 'cleaning' it..
The kids have one week left of school before Christmas break.
And we get to meet Piper and see Amie all before the weekend - yay!

Merry Christmas.

Soup is one of our favorites right now too...and will be for a couple more months.

Such a cute picture.
And so happy Amie is visiting..even though I don't know her. I would be super excited if my sister was coming for a visit too! :)

Happy Monday.
